Prograde Space LLC (“Prograde,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you:

  • Visit progradespace.com or another Prograde website;
  • Create or use a Prograde account;
  • Use our software, applications, tools, or reports;
  • Purchase a subscription or other service;
  • Communicate with us;
  • Subscribe to marketing communications;
  • Participate in a survey, event, demonstration, or promotion; or
  • Receive consulting or other professional services.

It also describes the choices and rights that may be available to you.

1. Who We Are

Prograde Space LLC is an Arizona limited liability company that develops software tools and provides consulting and related services for space mission analysis, astrodynamics, orbital assessment, space-object awareness, education, and related activities.

For purposes of applicable data-protection law, Prograde Space LLC is generally the controller or business responsible for the personal information described in this Policy.

In some enterprise or consulting relationships, we may process personal information on behalf of a customer. In those situations, the customer may be the controller or business responsible for the information, and its privacy notice may also apply.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to personal information processed by Prograde through the Services.

It does not apply to:

  • Information processed solely on behalf of a customer under a separate data-processing agreement;
  • Third-party websites, applications, or services that have their own privacy policies;
  • Anonymous information that cannot reasonably be linked to a person; or
  • Employment or contractor information governed by a separate notice.

3. Personal Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with Prograde.

A. Account and Identity Information

We may collect name, email address, username, password-related authentication info, organization/employer, job title, region, subscription type, and access records.

Authentication may be provided through third-party identity providers such as Clerk. We generally do not receive your plaintext password when external authentication is used.

B. Transaction and Billing Information

When purchasing a subscription or service, we collect billing details, transaction amounts, subscription renewals, invoice receipts, and limited payment details. Payments are processed securely via Stripe.

C. Information Submitted Through the Services

We collect information you enter, save, or generate, including mission parameters, orbital element sets, spacecraft selections, ground station configs, simulation inputs, generated reports, and feedback.

Note: You should not submit classified information or export-controlled technical data unless expressly agreed upon in writing.

D. Consulting and Business-Relationship Information

When requesting consulting services, we collect contact info, project/mission details, meeting notes, requirements, proposals, and deliverables.

E. Communications and Support Information

When contacting support, we collect message contents, support tickets, troubleshooting logs, and survey responses. Transactional email is delivered via Resend.

F. Device, Usage, and Technical Information

We automatically collect IP address, approximate location, browser/device type, access dates/times, viewed features, session duration, and diagnostic crash logs. See our Cookies Policy for more.

G. Marketing and Event Information

If subscribing to updates or events, we collect name, email, organization, communication preferences, and event engagement records.

H. Information From Third Parties

We may receive info from authentication providers, payment processors, analytics hosts, data suppliers, and event organizers.

4. How We Use Personal Information

  • Provide the Services: Administer accounts, authenticate users, process inputs, generate orbital analyses/reports, process payments, deliver communications, and support customers.
  • Operate and Improve Prograde: Monitor system performance, diagnose errors, understand feature usage, quality assure, perform internal analytics, and develop new tools.
  • Communicate With You: Respond to inquiries, send security/payment notices, manage consulting engagements, and send newsletters/marketing where permitted.
  • Protect Prograde and Others: Detect fraud, protect infrastructure, enforce Terms, investigate misuse, maintain audit records, and defend legal rights.
  • Comply With Legal Obligations: Maintain financial records, respond to lawful requests, satisfy export-control/sanctions laws, and comply with court orders.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

Where required, we process personal information under the following bases:

  • Performance of a Contract: To fulfill requested Services, subscriptions, or consulting agreements.
  • Legitimate Interests: To operate, secure, understand, and improve Prograde while respecting privacy rights.

7. How We Disclose Personal Information

  • Service Providers: Cloud hosting, authentication (Clerk), payment processing (Stripe), transactional email (Resend), customer support, analytics, and security.
  • Organizational Customers: Account administrators if your account is managed by an enterprise/organization.
  • Professional Advisers: Attorneys, accountants, auditors, and insurers.
  • Legal and Safety Reasons: To comply with law, legal process, or protect safety and property.
  • Business Transactions: As part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
  • With Your Consent: When directed or authorized by you.

8. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

Prograde does not sell personal information for money. Disclosures to service providers processing data on our behalf for business purposes are not treated as a sale under applicable privacy laws.

9. International Data Transfers

Prograde is based in the United States. We and our service providers process information in the United States and other countries that may have different privacy laws.

Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards including standard contractual clauses and data-processing agreements.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information for no longer than reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:

  • Account Info: Retained while active + reasonable period afterward for fraud prevention and legal compliance.
  • Project Inputs & Content: Retained while needed to provide the feature or until deleted by user/admin.
  • Consulting Records: Retained during engagement + as necessary for business, tax, and legal records.
  • Transaction Records: Retained as required for tax, accounting, and legal audit requirements.
  • Security & Tech Logs: Generally retained for 30 days unless extended for an active security investigation.

11. Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS/AES-256), strict access controls, multi-factor authentication, vendor security reviews, and continuous logging/monitoring.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, or object to certain processing.

EEA/UK/Switzerland: You may file complaints with your local data-protection supervisory authority or contact us to exercise GDPR rights.

California (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents have specific rights to request access, correction, deletion, and opt-outs.

17. Marketing Communications

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the message. Transactional account/security emails will continue.

19. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16 without parental/institutional consent.

21. Automated Processing

Prograde tools automatically process orbital and technical inputs to produce calculations and visual reports. These outputs do not produce legal or similarly significant effects regarding individuals.
